INJURED AT WORK?

Under New Mexico Workers Compensation law you have the right to seek and receive treatment for your work related injury. If you are injured on the job, your employer has the responsibility and obligation to pay for any harm or injury you suffered as a result.

The ability to work and make an income is your lifeline. Without it, it is difficult to pay rent, feed your family, or even enjoy life. It also does not help you get better when insurance companies confuse you with all the paperwork and scare tactics.

THE PEOPLE'S DOCTOR

My name is Dr. Charles A. Scott and I've been helping injured workers heal and be pain free after their work injury for more than 29 years. I am well known throughout the West Texas area as the "People's Doctor" for some good reasons. I am NOT an insurance doctor. I am NOT a company doctor. I do NOT work for any insurance company. Therefore, my allegiance is to you, the injured worker.

For the past 12 years I have worked closely with medical specialists such as orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, pain management specialists etc. and I make sure that my patients are referred to these specialists to ensure that they receive the best medical care available.

My staff and I understand the New Mexico Workers Compensation system and can help with the required documentation necessary to your individual case. In addition, we can refer you to an ombudsman and an attorney that specializes in Workers Compensation.

DOES THIS TREATMENT REALLY WORK?

Chiropractic care has been an effective treatment for work related injuries and is accepted as "reasonable and necessary" treatment in all 50 states. When it comes to work injuries, chiropractic has been proven to be more effective than conventional treatments. The State of Florida conducted a study of over 10,000 back related work injuries. The study found that patients who had received Chiropractic care had shorter temporary disability, less expensive costs, and reduced incidence of low back surgery. Another study conducted by the State of Oregon found that 82% of injured workers under Chiropractic care returned to work in a much shorter time period compared to traditional medical care.
